I created this box as a ‘hero’ prop that might be seen as a close up by the players. I tried to gather plenty of reference and stick to a very historical recreation of the German Grenade case.
I created procedural materials/substances so that I can create many different versions with a slider control in-engine. There is an ‘Afrikakorps’ HE box with fragmentation sleeves, and also a smoke grenade case. The texture are following the PBR piepline with Albedo, Roughness and Normals.
